In the coming days I'll continue to outline my positions. A commitment to results, common sense, and a perspective of humility is what will guide me in generating solutions to the problems we experience in our Northern Colorado district. Issues that continue to go unanswered by our Republican Representative.

A quick note to Colorado's hard working immigrant community:
 

America has and will continue to benefit from the restorative benefits of immigration. It renovates us economically, culturally, and now technologically. In many ways immigration has prevented this nation from stagnating. Diversity is our great strength. I am, like many of you, a first generation American. If you're an immigrant and working hard to realize a better future for you and your family, it's because prior Republican and Democratic administrations recognized that America needs you. And I say thank you for believing in this great nation. Immigrants don't take jobs from Americans; they do the jobs most Americans are unwilling to do. It's time to offer you and your entire family a path to citizenship.

And yes it’s time to transform what it means to be a worker in America. That small town America was ignored and left to deteriorate is what paved the way to Trump. This provides all of us the opportunity to change our perspective and endeavor to stabilize the phenomenon that is the United States into a more inclusive, supportive and prosperous experience that provides for every American.

Have over 26 women come forward to accuse Trump of Assault including one of Rape? Was Donald a close friend of Jeffery Epstein for over 15 years? Does his name appear 7 times in Epstein flight logs? Did Jeffery Epstein commit suicide while on suicide watch during a 1-minute gap in a prison video when Donald Trump was President? Is Trump along with Mike Johnson and help from Gabe Evans now preventing a release of FBI materials?​

 

 

Donald Trump is a disgrace. He needs to resign or be removed from office. What will you hear Gabe Evans say on this Topic? NOTHING. Evans is a Trump Toady and an embarrassment.

THE TRUMP TARIFFS

If you're an American CEO who can't pass along tariff increases that are cutting into your margins, what do you do? You fire people. Then with less people, the people who remain ask for higher wages, which causes a wage price spiral. The result - stagflation, meaning higher unemployment, higher inflation, and slower growth. Tariffs kill productivity and disrupt supply chains.

Trade deficits are a sign of prosperity and buying power. Declaring a that linear relationship exists between where tariffs and trade deficits originate is something that doesn't make sense. Trump is reducing imports and importing inflation. Trade deficits and structurally remaking the economy are not the same thing.

Tariffs are a tax on consumers that the President will use to pay for the Trump Tax cut, a reduction he provided to himself that added 7 Trillion 800 Billion dollars to the deficit - debt he is offloading on us.

I am not a proponent of unrestrained free trade offset by domestic job loss, but Trump's chaotic program of Maganomics will slow growth and destroy jobs. He is making a stupid mistake.

Bureaucracy is not about competition or profit margins, it is about stability in governance, and should be about equality, fairness and justice.

Donald Trump and DEI
All great wealth begins with a crime. Early America begins with two. The crime of Slavery and the crime of Indian Genocide.

This Nation's great strength resides in her ability to admit mistakes, and work to rectify the tragedies of her past.

Donald Trump wants to pretend that these heartbreaking events do not exist, and that the courage exhibited in resisting was without meaning. In the process he weakens and further divides the nation.

Furthermore, propose from Congress the creation of a Truth and Reconciliation Museum. Remove from the Capital Building every statue and painting of every slave owner, segregationist, and supporter of the intentional massacre of the Plains Indians into this building. Can you imagine the impact? The nation would dissolve into a paroxysm of gratitude and outrage. The courage exhibited in making such a proposal would ring throughout history. It would restore faith internationally in the idea of America. It would demonstrate that we are truly a shining beacon of hope and promise. More importantly, it would be the right thing to do.

Elon Musk
The danger Elon Musk posed was not in his support of Trump. That is his right. It is in the fact that Democrats allowed him to buy Ohio for Trump with $277,000,000. Would a Democratic candidate have rejected that money? What would have happened if an equal amount of money were spent on the other side of the ticket. It is insane that money is allowed to buy politicians. It has to stop.

  

Congressional Compensation

Change Gabe Evans' six figure salary (and that of every member of Congress) to the hourly minimum wage rate of $17.50 for DC. If they want a raise they can raise the minimum wage rate for everyone in Washington D.C. Fair, wouldn't you say? (Congressional Ethics)

  

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's Net Worth has jumped by $21 Million since joining Congress. Nancy Pelosi's Husband made $38 Million in stock trades leading up to the election. Public service isn't a personal enrichment program. It has to stop.​

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

It's her body, it's her choice. But the fact remains, abortion is a tragedy, and women suffer greatly from the experience. It represents a failure of proactive and preventive services and support programs, and underscores an absence of education regarding options and alternatives. The most effective way to reduce unwanted and terminated pregnancies is to provide full spectrum family planning which supports women, especially for single Moms, that also implements the following:

​

• Allow women to deliver anywhere, at home, a birth center, or hospital

• Provide full spectrum care while de-emphasizing often unnecessary interventions like continuous fetal monitoring and Pitocin — a synthetic version of the hormone oxytocin, which causes contractions and is commonly used in the U.S. to induce, strengthen or accelerate labor.

• Provide universal and generous pre and postnatal care programs, midwifery-run maternity units, and integrated options for home deliveries. Obstetricians can handle complications, but overall, licensed midwives would run the show, which can historically be shown to generate excellent outcomes.

• Institute 4-4-4 paid leave. Both parents have the independent and non-transferable right to receive payments during maternity/paternity leave for four months. This means that neither parent can have his/her rights transferred to the other. In addition, parents are entitled to a joint right of four additional months; this may be taken by one parent or divided between them. In circumstances where a parent is either unwilling, unable, or ineligible to participate in child rearing activities, a full 8 months accrues to the primary care giver.

• Students and parents who are outside the labor market or working less than 0.25 FTE (full-time equivalent) are entitled to receive a childbirth allowance.

• Maternity/paternity leave and allowance entitlements are cancelled when the child is 18 months old.

• It is expected that those who accept payments from the Maternity/Paternity Leave Fund will not be engaged in work for the duration of the payments. Partial payments would not be allowed.

• Payments amount to 80% of the average of the parent's total wages during a specific period before the birth of the child. The payments can, however, never go below or above predetermined limits.

• Supplemental parental leave is unpaid leave from work, which either parent may take for up to 13 weeks in order to care of the child. It may be taken in one session, or divided up into shorter periods. This entitlement is attached to each child up to 8 years of age. Parents cannot transfer the right to parental leave. The employer must be notified of the schedule for taking supplemental maternity/paternity leave no later than two weeks before the first day of leave.

• Employers would be legally required to return the employee to an employment equivalent.

• Finally, one of the highest returning investments we know we can make as a country is in early learning. Implement Preschool for All, providing well funded quality public pre-K for low- and middle-income four-year olds.

Social media dominates the attention of our children at an astounding average of 5 hours a day. It fosters isolation and degrades the metal health of every child in America - an abusive system rooted in profit and campaign contributions.

Our Children spend less time outside, less time with friends. They sleep and exercise less. A mental health disaster that continues to grow in magnitude and complexity.

Persuasive technology uses psychology and behavioral science to influence user attitudes and behaviors by design. It manipulates user choices to achieve increased engagement and incentivize continued interaction. It intentionally alters habits and beliefs, whether for commercial, political, social or religious purposes.

Business models manipulate our boys for profit with porn, video games, and on-line gambling that addicts and ruins the lives of legions of young men – every day.

Porn, crypto, sports, even investing - all of this has become gamified, a rancid trend that AI will magnify.

So what is the solution?

• Go local

• Invest heavily in K through 12 schools

  • Build more and better schools

  • Enable smaller class sizes

  • Provide more money for extracurricular activities

• Build more high-quality community centers and park systems

• AND legislatively prohibit automated algorithmic recommendations and connections. I won't let Zuckerberg et al. prevaricate. I'll move to ban them outright. If Neo-Nazis want to connect on Facebook, they can do so with a manual search.

Or we can let our children continue to disappear into the soul-destroying cesspool that is American Social-Media.

​If you choose to identify as Trans that is your right, perhaps even your obligation. There is solid medical evidence to indicate that these conditions are gestational, and scientific evidence to indicate that there is even an evolutionary rationale as well. What is the alternative, legislate a condition that occurs in up to 1 in 2000 births? That path reeks of ignorance, stupidity and futility.

On the other hand, if you have testicles and produce testosterone, even if you are medically defined as a hermaphrodite, then absolutely feel free to compete in sports, but as a man. Permitting individuals with testicles who identify as female in women’s locker rooms is simply insane.

Let’s just acknowledge that gender dysmorphia is a real condition that occurs far more frequently than many of us know. These individuals deserve our empathy and respect as people, not abominations.

To the Chinese Trump's tariff's are an existential assault, a tariff war they take literally. At first Xi will discontinue purchasing US debt. Later he will take a 25 Billion dollar haircut on US Treasuries in order to weaken the US financial system and injure Trump. If the 10 year exceeds 5% the US stock market will destabilize. Bond prices will continue to fall, interest rates will rise. Our housing and stock markets will tank, again. The economy will tip over into recession. This is the moment Xi will choose to initiate a blockade of Taiwan, a moment he will have manufactured in order to deny the US access to TSMC.

Congressional Ethics

​​Public service isn't a personal enrichment program. Every member must fully divest. Cash, Treasuries or Index funds only. Obviously this implies no equity purchases while in office.

END THE CONGRESSIONAL PENSION PROGRAM. Congress can contribute to an IRA like everyone else.

Extend tax disclosure to the Presidency. Extend asset divestiture to the Presidency AND all cabinet members. Last but not least, incumbency has been usurped - by incumbents. It's time for an amendment imposing term limits.

It's exciting to have an American Pope, but the time has come to allow women to assume leadership positions in the Church, including ordination, and to allow Priests to marry. In fact, married Priests already are allowed in the Catholic Church for married Lutheran, Protestant, Presbyterian, and Episcopalian Ministers who convert to Catholicism, as both marriage and ordination are considered to be sacred and sacraments. Until these changes are made the Catholic Church will continue to see contraction in membership. It's time for the church to break free from the arbitrary traditions of its past which have nothing to do the with teachings of Jesus.

The Economy, Productivity, and Prosperity

What is America first?

 

Productivity - it increases GDP and provides an important check on inflation, but its benefits have not meant that workers get paid more. Rather it is the penthouse population that has accrued billions of additional dollars in capital accumulation. None of this was inevitable - it's Policy. Why?

• Tax codes that favor capital gains over wages

• Deregulation that strips workers of protection

• Trade agreements that favor corporate margins over community stability

 

All of the this has tilted the playing field towards the top by Ivy League Democrats and Republicans – it is corrupt and unfair. There was a way corporate profits from trade deals could have been shared by workers. Extra revenue could have gone to retraining and to assisting workers to relocate to areas where jobs were better - but we didn’t do that.

 

We just let the rich get richer and our industrial towns dwindle into nothing. But now that's largely over. America has ceded its position as a global manufacturing economy and has transformed into an information and services economy. This means we need to lean away from trade wars that have no objective, and to emphasize policy changes that tilt us back to regular working people.

 

To reverse this imbalance means that we need to make deliberate systemic choices - universal health care that ends the tie between jobs and health insurance. Countries with universal systems spend 30 to 40% less than we do and get better health outcomes. This will reduce economic insecurity and end the need for workers to cling to bad jobs in order to retain health benefits.

 

Universal and subsidized childcare. This would free millions to fully participate in the workforce. Quebec's increased female participation in the workforce has already paid for itself in new tax revenues.

 

How about a national affordable housing infrastructure plan? Launch a public/private housing initiative to build millions of new affordable units coupled with zoning reform and incentives for mixed income development. Pair that with strict anti-speculation measures that keep homes in the hands residents instead of investment funds. Today investors who buy a home to flip or rent have make up about 30% of new family home purchases.

 

How about restoring bankruptcy laws that place the burden of lending on lenders not borrowers. Allowing workers to rejoin the economy faster benefits every American.

 

Build job resilient job creating clean energy infrastructure. Invest massively in modernizing our energy grid, expanding solar, wind, and battery storage, and harden our system against climate shocks. This creates good union jobs while reducing our vulnerability to extreme weather events

 

How about a targeted climate policy. Institute a national carbon price and reinvest revenues into transition assistance for workers in fossil fuel industries. Fund job creating large scale reforestation and wetlands restoration, and urban heat mitigation projects.

 

We're told prosperity trickles down, but it doesn't and never has. It has been sucked upward by an Ivy League dominated Congress addicted to the corrupting influence of money. While the top 1% thrives, everyone else is told to work harder, retrain, go somewhere else where there are good jobs

 

An economy that works for everyone is a choice. We have just been making the wrong ones.

 

These policies are not radical, they are a return to a basic American ideal, an ideal that is shared by many Republicans and Democrats, not because it is an ideology, but because it is the American ideal - if you work hard you should share in the prosperity you helped create.
